I've stayed a few times at the Jasmine and I can honestly say that I wouldn't stay anywhere else now whenever I go to Pattaya. I find the staff very warm and welcoming, the rooms are well equipped and clean, there's wireless internet throughout, all rooms have a small cooker and fan AND aircon plus cable TV and a dimmer for the lights. It also has a smart bar area to chill out during the day/early evening. I just woudn't stay anywhere else. About 550baht/night does it and for the money ya can't beat it, it's all brand new. Maybe I should be keeping this to myself
BTW I have no connection with this hotel.

No, the safety boxes are near reception adjacent to the managers office. However, in the rooms there are lockable desks which are good enough to secure a few thousand baht, camera, phone etc.
rslicker is quite correct in his summary plus the place is located right on the money and only a 60 second walk from Jenny Star Bar.
An excellent hotel for those who would rather spend their hard earned on other things Me Included |

Only one entrance which is past the front desk however, the hotel does not have a lobby as such and other guests do not congregate in the area around reception.
Every time I returned to the hotel with my chosen LB, the receptionist left it to my judgement as to whether my companions ID was left in reception.
The Jasmine is a 55 room hotel whose target market is single guys who like to play One night I took three LB's back to my room at the same time and no one even raised an eyebeow.] In the course of an evening nothing surprises them and there is absolutely no need to feel embarassed |

Any east facing budget hotel room without total blackout has this problem.
However, the problem is easily solved .....Just remember to retain the Eye shield which they give you on the airplane
I wore mine one night and the effect it had on my body clock was incredible I slept from 4am-2pm without waking. |

If you get a room on the ground floor just around the corner from reception not only are these rooms cheaper but they have a few glass bricks instead of windows, which makes the room very dim but OK with the light on. Also many of the rooms on other floors have another building about 2 meters away from the window so not too much glare comes in. Sometimes at night I've had a problem with some noise from this other building but nothing terrible. If you don't need internet then 102/104 or on the second floor 202 is very quiet and not much sunlight. I found 202 by far the quietest room I've had there and no problem with early morning sun. Internet in this room is a bit weak.
Hope this helps. |
