After I saw some tips from this site about where to stay in Pattaya, I decide to try Jasmine Hotel (www.jasminehotel-pattaya).
For me and forever this is the best and must covenient Hotel.
-Nice rooms,very clean and comfortable.
-Friendly staff and good service.
-Free Internet for the guests.
-Friendly LBS welcome.
-30 seconds (if you are a slow walker...),from the walking st. (soi BJ is just in front of Polo's Entertainment complex).
-Very chip rates,from 450 - 700 baht.
Believe me guys, you don't find a better place to stay.
Cheers,
Franck |

Mate just a quick question,
I am used to Bangkok and the LB scenes there but never been to Pattaya was planning on taking a trip there while in Bangkok in September, is this hotel near any LB scenes e.g. Jenny Star Bar? If you can give us a lil list and how far, will be pleased!
It will be my first time into Pattaya.
Cheers in advance |

Its very near to JSB - must be no more than a 5 minute walk even if you have had too many beers and are taking two steps forward and one step backwards or sideways.
Cheers

Come on Mardhi. 5 minutes walk from JSB!!!
Like I said, and even with two steps forward and one backwards, you can reach the Hotel Jasmine in 30 seconds.
Cheers,

I always go BKK to Pattaya by taxi, you should be able to get one for about 1100 baht incl motorway charge. Soi BJ is on walking st. If your BKK taxi driver doesn't know it tell him to go towards the beach road and then turn off at the end of beach road into Walking St. Soi BJ is about 300m on the left down Walking St. If you don't want to pay the 1100 baht for taxi you can go to Ekemai bus station and get the bus to Pattaya but don't fprget you have to carry your bags at each end and add the taxi/bus fares each end too. See if you can find someone to share a taxi.

The best solution so far as I am concerned is ask the tour desk in your hotel to sort it out.
For example, I stay at the Nana and the tour operator on the ground floor makes the arrangement for 350 Baht..Nana-Jasmine.
A mini van collects you at your Bangkok Hotel and shuttles you to an air con coach which is full of other people using the same service. A little over two hours later you are at Pattaya bus station where you board another mini van which drops you at Soi BJ
This service operates twice a day from Bangkok to Pattaya and in the past I have used the 1pm pick up.
Good economical service if you are travelling alone.
Incidentally, I plan to make this trip myself in September |

You can get the BTS,whatever you are in Bangkok to Ekkamai St.
Near the BTS St. there, and easily you find the Bus St. to Pattaya.
There's air con. Bus from there to Pattaya almost every 30 minutes (117 baht),and takes around 2 hours to arrive Pattaya.
There, you can take a tuk tuk(car) until the corner of the walking street.
You just walk around 200 meters, and you see in your LEFT side the soi BJ. More 30 meters and you are in Jasmine Hotel.
All together,from Bangkok to Pattaya's Hotel,you spend around 172 baht(35+117+20).
Good luck.
a tip - in Jasmine Hotel, and before your check-in,try to talk with the manager there/Mr.Williams and tell him that you were recommend by this site.Maybe you get a better price on the rooms. |

Otherwise, and only for 350 baht, try to follow Pat Tire's recommendation |

| I've been in jasmine hotel 20 days in july and i conferm that is a very good hotel, clean and centrally located but there is a problem that cant'be not to know : in the morning the sun come in the room through the window curtain and don't let to sleep. I changed 3 rooms but without any result and when i have been leaving i spoke to the manager, mr William about the absolute need to change the curtain and to put a dark curtain. He told that the owner know very well this problem because many customers complained about the extreme difficulty to sleep in the morning because of the thin curtain. We'll see. |

I know what you mean, that's why I always stay in the ground floor rooms(example-room 105).There's no windows there.
Surprise Mr.William didn't mention to you that.
