Patpong ?.... or where in Phuket...? .... and which hotel? ~ LB-69

Is Patpong the place to be in Phuket for LB's.

If so please advise a nice hotel (with pool) {budget around 2,500 baht a night} where I can take the wife (but still close enough to slip with for an hour with an LB).

So some 'family friendly' type hotel {preferably no LB's in the hotel}; but with them only 5-10 mins away to enable me to sneek away to get some LB action.

At 2500 baht you will find yourself in a high end hotel at this time of year in Phuket. Patong is definitely the best place here for LB action. Soi Bangla is where most of the LB action takes place. You can probably get a room at the Horizon or Patong Resort for that, maybe even the Holiday Inn. From these I would say the Patong Resort would suit you best, a large, international standard hotel about 5 mins walk form Bangla rd and with an enormous lobby where you will pass through almost unoticed. Walking from here to Bangla you will pass Funky bar on the left where the very nice Amy works. See this link for hotels in Phuket:

I find this has a nice range of hotels with good photos. If selecting from here then get a hotel in Patong central, especially if you intend to walk to Bangla.

The info in your excellent sticky about places to meet LBs has been somewhat superceded now. Bangla is the centre for sure, now with many freelancers walking/standing in the street, many quite young (about 17/18 yo) and cute. They appear from about 8/9pm onwards.

Cocktails and dreams is a major LB centre just off Bangla at the eastern end of Bangla with many LBs to choose from; you'll see the cabaret dancers at the end of the soi calling punters in so it's fairly easy to find. I wrote a piece about Amy at Funky bar too which you can find with a search. Also you'd be surprised at how many bars here now have the odd LB or two mixed in with GGs. Soi Crocodile (off Bangla) is another major centre for LBs although this is a bit of a tourist show with many families taking in the dancing LBs. It is possible to pick up LBs here and there are some very nice ones to be seen dancing here. Also in Soi Crocodile on the left about half way up is a bar called Dingo bar; this has about 3 or 4 quite nice, young LBs.

If you leave Patong then there's a new bar just opened on a small bar soi between Kata and Karon. The bar is called Play Boy bar and has about 4 LBs working there at the moment. This soi is quite hard to find as it is between some shops and restaurants and doesn't have a name out front. But it is roughly 1km from Karon and about 400m from Kata on the beach road. This section of the beach road also has quite a few freelancers along it from about 9pm - 4am. But beware if you stop to talk to one and end up not taking her, they have a very short fuse for some reason and they don't seem to take rejection to well.

Patong Villa should suit all your needs.

Family orientated hotel, swimming pool, price in the right range, but not far away from the Ladyboy action action. Plenty of restaurants close by, and directly opposite the beach.

There is a massage & beauty salon onsite to amuse the wife.
