There is alot of repetitive posts regarding are hotels LB guest friendly? General guide to expensive and cheaper hotels? And best recognized places to go to meet LB’s.
The forum could provide updated info, and threaded discussions, but I was thinking wouldn’t it be helpful to provide a general noticeboard where all the standard questions are answered?
Perhaps its just a webpage which is part of this site which is only periodically updated.
I just think it would cut down on the constantly similar posts?
Any thoughts on a Notice board??? |

Hi Brit,
Agree in principal with your suggestion for a dedicated area with information on hotels and other frequently asked questions.
Obviously it would require somebody to allocate a reasonable amount of time and effort to make this happen and ensure it remains up to date.
I still think that people should take the time to read the information already posted in the forum before they ask the same stupid questions.
However, perhaps if that information was more readily accessible, it would help matters ?
Cheers

Yes I think your 100% correct.
Perhaps its just a page that pops up before you enter the forum - detailing the FAQ's - with offers and specials from LB69 site also.
I suggest that page (as regards FAQ's) is only needed to be updated quarterly or half yearly... as things don't change that fast in Thailand and all other questions can be posted from within the forum.
Also you can state " for further updates check out detailed information in the forum".
Also would suggest that its just bullet point items under categories. No indepth information. Merely lists of known guest friendly hotels - known problem hotels - list of bars/Go-go/LB streetwalker areas (all sorted by city/location). List of superstars. And list of average rates (LT/ST & bar fine) by city.
Any descriptions should be limited to only a one liner - if really necessary.
Actually the BangkokTonight website has done a reasonably effort for natural bargirls, but LB information is sadly lacking, plus they ever update the info - and its about 5 years out of date.
I think this would actually help moderate the site because less repetative questions require to be answered plus you can just refer to this Noticeboard all the time. |

| Hi koykaeng, Is someone going to pick up on this idea ...and create the Noticeboard of FAQ's for the forum to stop the repetative posts? |

Hi Brit,
Need to discuss this concept further with the Site Administrator and take it from there.
Biggest problem is finding the time.
Will let you know shortly
Cheers

Hi koykaeng,
Please PM me if the Site Administrator agrees.
I'm willing to give it first draft and spend the time compiling it if this helps. Then you can just merely adjust accordingly.
I don't want to waste time compiling it if its not going to be taken further and won't be created as a Noticeboard. If its just going to be another post then forget the idea. I've already compiled a large "where to find" post but am willing to help if i can.
Anyway, the offers is there for me to consolidate other posts info into a FAQ page if you need help.
I'm putting "my money where my mouth is" by offering my time to do this
Cheers
