I usally carry two wallets, one is my bar wallet wher i carry my money for drinks, barfines paying for the girl, taxi whatever. Never moe than three thousand baht. It goes in my front leg pocket of my cargo pants, where i can allways feel it.
Then I have my real wallet, that goes in a inside a money belt I wear. When I take someone back to my room the money belt always goes into the rooms safe. I have'nt lost anything yet. |

I don't know if that is a solution or just doubling the problem(???)
In all my time in LOS I've never had any problems with pick pockets, although I have twice seen a man running along looking fo rthe LB that lifted his wallet (not the same man) |

Yeah the bum bags are ridiculous, not only do you look like Mr Motivator on a gay cruise but it saves your potential mugger having to work out where you keep your goodies.
I was on the ground ( LMAO )....

Just get the Cargo shorts that have zipped up pockets in the front and see if the bitch can get her hands on that. |

Many good tips here. I agree that a bum bag is not the solution - cause it's easier to grab all your stuff in one go.
I tend to follow this though:
Don't carry around what you can't afford to loose.
So I carry: Cash for the night, taxi cash in hard to reach place (condom pocket/under the soles in the shoes/whatever), cheap ass cellphone, a good (but inexpensive) camera.
When it comes to thieveing, and I'm not saying that there are no thieves in LoS, but I have a nice story.
Last time in LoS i bought a digital camera and a few mem cards for it. Went to MacDonalds at Mikes Shopping mall. Then I went to Stringfellows. After about an hours at Stringfellows I realize my camera is missing. "Shit! I forgot the thing at MacDonalds!" I tought. So I go back to MacDonalds and find my camera, in the bag from the electronics shop mind you, still sitting there by the table I used...
As a sidenote; there are more pickpockets in Oslo during summer than in most European cities... Why? Because Norwegians are so naive - thats why.
The problem we guys have in LoS, as opposite to back home in Europe/USA/wherever, is that we let girls touch us in the areas where we normally keep our valubles.
But if you only carry what you can afford to loose - being robbed or pickpocketed won't ruin your day.
