Hi I did a search but did'nt find much info so am wondering if anyone has had Tattoos done in Pattaya ?
I saw a few guys wondering around with fresh ones and am wondering how safe and how cheap it would be to get some done , and would five days be enough time to get it organised .
I never seem to have time to do it at home .
I have a couple of complex designs I want done but also want to get the Chinese sign for the Rat done when I decide where I want it .
thanks for any help. |

had a tattoo in phucket and found the hygene second to none. everything pre-packed in sterilised packets.
same goes for pattaya,
there are too many shops, so its a gamble on how good they are with line work. but prices are about a third of uk prices which is currently £65 an hour in brum.
the main advice is leave it till your last day if you enjoy the beach as you cant swim in the sea.
and dont get an lb,s name.!!! |

I wouldn't have thought it would take much time at all to get it organised if you know what you want and have copy materials. Thai people can work very fast and diligently when money is involved!
There seem to be hundreds of tattoo parlours/shops in the tourist cities. I've never had a tattoo there but have seen plenty being done and even in the dogiest looking places they seem to work profressionally with no risks or rush. There is no reason why you can spend some time watching them work, and make a judgement on it yourself, you'll soon realise the safety issues and quality of their work. |

Also never get anything in Thai writing unless you are certain how to spell it!
I know aguy who went to get a tattoo of a Thai girls name ( ) and when he sat down to have it done the girl couldn't decide how it was spelled, and I think the artist also diosagreed with her on the spelling. Fortunately for him he wasn't drunk and the alarm bells started to ring in the common sense section of his brain and he walked out unpenned. |

On TV there is a show called MIAMI INK, they had a guy come in and wanted a word tattooed on him in Italian, he was Italian but the tattooist wasn't so he spelled it for him and he proof read it like the art work and had him do it, after it was done he noticed it was spelled wrong, he freaked out, not at the tattooist but at himself, well the tattooist was able to fix it, but it was a funny show. |

Yes I don't think my wife would understand
I've been watching Miami Ink for awhile now which has helped me to finally decide I should get some done (been thinking about it for years) , I have been collecting images of what I want so it will be a well informed decision when I finally get around to doing it.
Thanks . |

I could end with a body suit if I put all the girls names on me and then crossed them out each time they changed their name and put their new one on. |

had to dig up an old thread for this one.
this is a warning and also a recomdation at the same time.
i had a tattoo on a previous trip by edward back of hole 19.
good work but everyone told me i paid well over the odds.
i know there is a thai price and falang price, but he done me up like a kipper.(him have bad heart)
so this trip, i went to a small shop on the corner of the crossroads at pattaya south rd.
i questoned how long he,d been doing it, show me your work etc.
he talked a good talk, but.......
had the outline done, checked it, fuckin shit.!
i kicked off, and walked out.
so now what? im getting a bit of a sweat on.
went to edwards. closed.
jumped on a baht bus to soi 7. walked towards the beach, and first small soi off to the right i found NOI TATTOO.
the signs of a good artist were there .
firstly, a computer, and many paper and traced designs of work in progress on his pin board. obviously got a good few customers going in for session work. been at it 12 years.
he worked over the fuck up and did a great job.
quick and cheap , but more important, i knew he knew his stuff.
in future, i will only ever use NOI. and recomend him to everyone.
theres a big diference between a "tattoo artist" and a artist who knows how to tattoo. |
