This what you describe is very common in brazil. Specially in the touristic beaches eg. rio, fortaleza...i have had many friends with the same experience, even family relatives.

Thats why i always suggest to all that do go to brazil and go to the beaches, dont bring any valueables. Just a pack of cigs, whether you smoke or not and in there put enough money to get by for the day. Thats all you need. No fancy watches, rings, phones nothing. just the above.

I lived in Brazil for 15 years and am heading there this weekend but to the south so i dont know if i will get any nice lb action nor reports during the trip.

I agree with some of the points about Pattaya, a couple of days there is enough for me also, especially with the continuous onslaught from the Indian tailors, it's enough to try anybody's patience.

I've never been to Pattaya in part because it has such a seedy reputation - extending back to the 60's when American GI's started corrupting the place. Also I'd heard the Pattaya beach was skanky and that it's definitely not a place to dive (muff-dive maybe), which is why I have always headed to Phuket when I have the time for some fun in the sun and still need a ladyboy fix. But your report on the filthy conditions away from the beach gives one further reason to pause.

I asked a ladyboy friend about Pattaya last time I was in BKK and she also said it was sleazy - but cheap.

I hear you about the in your face nature of the sex trade in Thailand, but I think we (you) also need to be honest with (y)ourselves - we're (you're) going on these trips to these countries to PAY for mad sex with poor people who will put up with a big belly, a bald head, a useless cock, haoliotosis, a shocking lack of social skills, or whatever, as long as it helps them to feather their nests. Nicer ST rooms and fewer smells aren't going to change that basic equation. Although I suppose we all like to fantasize that we're casanova's (unlike the fat farangs you were grossed out by in Pattaya) sweeping these girls off their feet - and nicer surroundings assist with the illusion. I LOVE Bangkok despite its reputation for terrible traffic, pollution and everything else. As you rightly point out, it's a real city with a lot going on besides P4P - and I love Thai street food, so those smells are not a problem for me. And I LOVE the completely over the top experience of having literally 100's of ladyboys on tap between Nana Plaza, King's Castle in Patpong, and now Guess Bar, which although quiet the night I was there has a good vibe. It's a great country with a fascinating culture, never been colonized, blah blah blah - at the end of the day I'm there because I love ladyboys and Thailand is kinda the motherlode when it comes to that.

I think you should give it another go - spend a bit more on your accomodations and find a cool, non-possesive, but horny ladyboy who can help with intros to other girls who fit your bill and generally assist with navigation. There are plenty of girls who do speak pretty good english - certainly a lot better than my Thai or your Portugeuse I'm guessing - and again the conversation is only necessary as far as the illusion goes anyway.
