Hi
Want to travel to to Dynasty Inn Grande from Airport via Airport express. Does the express drop you off in front of the Dynasty Inn Grande? Has anyone taken the express to the hotel? Any recommendations. Thanks |

I always use the metered taxi myself.
On arrival at the new airport, head down the escalator one level, and as you exit there will be a taxi queue in front of a table/booth.
They will give you a coupon detailing your hotel which they hand to the next available driver.
Even with the expressway tolls, the total cost should be less than 300 Baht ( approximately $9 USD) to the Dynasty Inn Grande.
Cheers

| It also depends what time of day you arrive. Sometimes during rush hours that queue for the metered taxi's can be mamouth and teh taxis can be sparse. Where as, if you don't mind spending an extra 300bht there are always private cars available. |

| If you don't mind spending a little bit more, you can really go in style. Last time I got a really nice Mercedes-Benz from the airport to Sukhumvit soi 24 for 1000THB about $30USD |

I pay 500baht from the new airport to the DIG or Majestic Grande and NO more and that includes tolls
I hate being taken as some kind of "idiot" by the taxi touts but Im happy to pay 500baht just to get me to the hotel quick

500bht seems fair, the metered Taxis are ok, but I just want to get to my room, shower and get out and about as soon as possible.
1000bht seems a bit excessive for such a short journey |

I do give the taxi driver a tip on top of the 500baht
Its the "in your face" taxi touts that get "on my tits" after an 18 hour journey |

Could not agree more duke, I think if I was met with a similar reception at Heathrow I would soon be telling them to have sex and travel.
It is only that I am so delighted to be back in Los that prevents me from being abusive. |

Yes, it's easy to pay the big bucks when you arrive with a full wallet, are buzzing and just want to get into your hotel.
I always tip the honest taxis 100+ for not taking the piss. |

| I always take the metered taxi and it has always been quick and easy and least expensive for me (around 300 baht). But then the flights I've been taking arrive at 11:45 pm so there are plenty of taxis waiting. Beware of the gauntlet on your wait to the metered taxi station trying to get you to take their private car for 800 to 1000 baht. |

| If you dont have too much baggage go up to the departures hall and jump in a taxi that has just dropped someone off. They usually give a better deal. |

Going back to the original Question - there is NO bus that goes to the Dynasty Grande in Soi 6. Infact to the best of my knowledge, there is no bus that goes that far down Sukhumvit from the airport - your best bet would be as far as the bus terminal in Ekkamai. By the time your done you will have spent as much as getting a cab straight from the airport and have wasted about 5 hours.
Cheers
