I take my laptop to work and back home each day to avoid the possibility of anyone in the office reviewing my history.
However, there are no doubt more tech savvy ways to approach this.
I do clear on ocassion clear the temporary internet files & history however that's about as involved as I get.
Cheers

Well. Id say the easiest way to do it would be to install a seperate browser like Firefox and do all your Porn needs through that, then at the end of the day use Tools, Clear Private Data.
However if your Company uses its own DNS servers and what not they'll be able to see what sites you're going on.
+1 for the laptop idea |

Hey Batman,
I'm afraid the only answer should be dont do it! I've worked in the IT/Network industry for 20 years and watched company policies change and the technology availble to monitor staff increase and if you work for a company that is using the new types of monitoring nomatter what you do there is a chance to catch you and being caught will probably mean your job!
As examples, many companies run software such as websense on their proxy servers, which is an almost realtime filtering software that classes all the internet sites on the web into catergories. (The company can then block catergories of sites and log which staff tried to access them.) The lists of sites are updated daily often by companies based in India etc where they literally go to each IP address and DNS entry and record what type of site responds.) Oh and for those tech types out there that think they know better about proxies many companies now configure their proxies to not show up as proxies. Specifically my last company routed all internet traffic to the proxies without any settings in the explorer being needed so staff were not even aware we were using them. We also flagged all relay proxies using the filters so that we could find staff that were trying to hit blocked sites via a proxies relay.
Also to frighten you a little more we tested devices that logged all data on the network (This was a big network with over 20k of staff)and stored it for 24 hrs we could then look at every stream/session of data and anaylyze the data. (I had staff dedicated to trying to find ways around our blocks and believe me they spent months trying to work around the monitoring that included using enrypted files via relays and all sorts of other wonderful ploys and for the most part it was resonably easy to block the traffic or record it.)
Note none of this included the monitoring that the local IT groups performed on the actual PC's/Laptops which is what most suggestions so far have addressed. (And chances are if your part of a domain when you log in and the company uses any form of script then cleaning your cache/history or changing browsers will be of little help in avoiding being caught.
Luckly for you, you work in the EU which means the chances are your company policy is to anonymously block the traffic and not record the site accesses against individualy users as most of the EU companies dont want to fall foul of the EU laws on monitoring staff but even that is slowly changing and if you work in certain areas they are exempted from those protections (banks and similar areas for example.)
Having seen what can be monitored in the office the only sensible advice is if you wish to access internet sites for pleasure do it from your own PC via your own connection and leave your work equipment for work. |

Hi Batman,
I forgot to mention I would suspect your companie (I think I remember you telling me what you did for a living.) Is probably one of those that doesnt monitor that closely and is reasonably free on allowing its staff access to keep them entertained. If you know an IT staff ask them what the policy is, if it is pretty relaxed then you can probably get away with cleaning the cache/history and using a proxy relay to avoid you companies proxy logging the site name and this would be enough in your case.
I was responsible for Asia and Europe staff and my policy was not to catch people but to simply make it impossible for them to get to the sites. (Then no harm no foul.) My asshole colleague in the US who was responsible for the America's had a policy of catching offenders and getting them fired which has always seemed stupid to me |
