Hi
Here is way off the subjet:
Back when Don Muang was opened there was a small restaurant outside Terminal 1 where the Tom Yum Ghunk was out of this world, and it was a habbit that to feast myself on a Double Huge Bowl of it before leaving back to Boring Hong Kong Dim Sum.
To make a long story shorrt, I never have found quite as good anywhere in Bangkok, tried the Nana hotel Restaurant, the small Thai tipycal places in Bang Poh, Phuket, and so on and so forth.
I know it was all associated with the Cook and I guess the smile on her face watching me feasting on her serving, here is the tough question, as tastes and colours are subjects without conclusions.
What in your opinion is the best place to have Tom Yum Ghunk in Bangkok (Toughy here)
Thanks in advance, and I will make point of checcking those places out. Hopefully not the Tourists areas

There is some good food to be found at Cabbages and Condoms, the famous restaurant run by Meechai - the half Scottish/ half Thai minister who campaigned for increase use of condoms by CSWs in Thailand.
It is down Sukhumvit Soi 12, just past Darling - massage parlour, another of my favourite places - and very farang friendly.
Have a soapie, then a slap-up supper, OR have the supper, then a soapie! |

| Go to Central Dept. store, Chit Lom, you can get there via Sky Train, Chit Lom stop (2 or 3 from Nana). On the 7th floor or so there's a nice food court, you can get nearly any kind of food. But after walking in, look left, and there's a stand to get tom yum kung. Across from the beer/drinks. They serve it in a big bowl with noodles, and I think it can't be beat. Definitely not a tourist trap. |
