Hi,
I am planning on booking at either the Royal president or the Grand President for 1 month from mid July.
The studio is priced at 36000 baht a month on the internet.
Should I book over the internet or is it cheaper to book it in person.
Any feedback from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Ang |

LuckyA,
Can't say for those places in particular; but recently did a check on the Amari with a local Thai checking the direct price and me on the internet form OZ ... we both got the same deal |

Sorry, some problems with the new Safari-beta browser (lightning fast, but still many bugs). Again:
Via the internet is normally cheaper.
I made the experience once, when I asked the GP frontdesk for the room rate for the day of my flight back home.
The rate for an inferior room (Opal) was higher than the Expedia price for the Royal Suite !
So better book via asiarooms, hrs, expedia ... and not at least: latestays |

I've booked the President Solitaite via the internet previously, and the rate was definitely better than the "walk in" rate.
Have booked alot of accomodation over the internet for various hotels over the years, and have always received better rates than the standard rack rate on offer.
Cheers

I finf that is true for Bangkok but not for Pattaya. As long as it isn't peak season, in Pattaya you can walk into most hotels and negotiate a better price, especially if you are staying for a week or more. |

| when booking any of the President hotels. Look for special deals on president web site. I got a great deal in Feb for the President Park on soi24 from www.presidentpark.com . The apartment was really nice, and they don't ask any questions about guests. I had at one time three guests in my apartment. |
