To celebrate now having over 20 girls on the team - Guess bar is holding a 20/20 celebration. So long as your check-bin is higher than 500baht (including your drinks, lady drinks, barfines) - the bin will be reduced by 20% from the total amount. For example:-
2 Heineken @ 110b each = 220b
2 lady drinks @100b each = 200b
1 barfine at 500b = 500b
Total gross check bin 920 baht
minus 20% discount of 184 baht
Nett bill = 736 baht
Note: discount does not apply to bottles of spirits. However given they are already way to cheap as everyone keeps saying, thats hardly a big deal.
Given the fact that bars are closed on Saturday and Sunday for the referendum - makes an even better reason to celebrate at Guess Bar.
Cheers

The Guess Bar deal is for Friday 17th August 2007 only.
Keep in mind that all the bars will be closed on August 18th & 19th for the referendum/voting.
Cheers

KK,
Do they also close earlier on the queens b-day? that is 11th or 12th right?
I remember a few years ago in BKK the disco closed early due to this.
Please keep us posted.

This is a disaster!
I arrive in BKK onthe 18th and am there till the 20th! I was hoping to go to Guess bar!!!!!
What about the NEP bars will they be closed on the 18/19th?
MPs also?
Should I just head down to Pattaya?

| Most if not all the bars will be shut in BKK, so it would be a good idea to make your way to Pattaya, where there's sure to be a number of bars conducting some form of business. |

Thailand is closed basically for the entire weekend due to the draconian conditions always used when an election takes place - ok this is not an election but its a vote on the new constitution. Voting is supplosed to be compulsory and the theory behind bar closures is that voters wont get drunk and not vote on the day of the election. Its a totally flawed policy as anyone with half a brain cell just raids 7-11 and drinks at home but as they say TIT - This is Thailand.
If previous years are anything to go by - dont expect Pattaya to be any different - you might find somewhere to find a drink but basically all the bars will be deserted so you will be drinking on your own if you do find somewhere.
Cheers

you just have to find a bar...owned by the mayor or the policechief...
Remember TIT.... |
