Hey all:
I leave for BKK tomorrow and have been wrestling with leaving my laptop at home. I understand from some of the other threads that there are a pretty fair number of internet cafe's and some of the hotels have access.
Really, except for accessing this site, occasionally checking email and dumping photos from my digital camera to the computer, I don't feel like I'd be missing it (and I haven't traveled without a laptop for 10 years, except for being on a sailboat). It would lighten my load!!
Thoughts?
Ray
ps. damn I hate being such a nerd for even asking this question....shit! |

Don't travel without mine, as you said, dunping shots and viewing them or editing them seems the main reason to get the load justified these days!
How long you over this trip? |

| It's just a short one, only 10 days. I'm leaning towards bringing it, just the same. Force of habit, I guess! |

| Know what you mean, Feel naked without it, even with the Internet Cafes, nothing beats checking site naked with a cup of coffee at hand and an LB Friend waking up Junior in a room |

| Something to keep in mind Ray is that you probably wont find an internet cafe in BBK where you can have some privacy so i would say take it |

Unless it is essential I would advise you to leave it at home.
Hundreds of internet cafes in Bangkok and beyond and I know two guys who had their laptops stolen while on vacation in Pattaya. |

| I've always taken mine and never had a problem. For such a short trip I'd seriously consider leaving it at home though. |
