It is a bit far from the action - you can use the Skytrain until midnight, but would have to use taxis for later night transport. Certainly the price looks right, but have you checked out the hotels listed in the sticky post in this section?
These are tried, true, tested, guest friendly hotels. One that is missing from the list I highly recommend is the Grand Business Inn, Sukhumvit Soi 11, just 10-15 min walk from Nana Plaza 15-20 min walk from Guess Bar. Fairly new hotel, about 2 years old, similar in facilities to Dynasty Inn Grande, free high speed internet in the rooms (by network socket), free internet access in lobby for guests (30 min limit each time), very guest friendly - I've had 3 visitors at one time without question - they just had to produce their IDs.
Superior room starts at 1600 Baht and those who need more space, Grand Suite at 2500 Baht a night.
This is the web site: http://www.grandbusinessinn.net/room_rate.html |

| For me it's location, location, location. And unfortunately, as nice as other hotels might be, they don't do it for me. I want to be within spitting distance of the action. i don't want to get a taxi back to my hotel, I want to be on it's door step. |

Hi Fazerkhan,
Given this is your first trip, my advice would be to make a reservation at one the tried & tested hotels contained in our "sticky" post.
http://www.lb-69.com/forum/5279_LB_FRIENDLY_BANGKOK_HOTELS.html
Why risk being disappointed by a hotel that is too far from the action, poorly facilitated or worse still charges a joiner fee.
Cheers

| I tried to book Dynasty Inn, DIG & majestic Suites but it seems they were all books for my dates. Majestic Suites is available after 10 Jan. Seems like I have to wait till then. I want to book the hotel that's recommended here. By the way, is Majestic Suites better or Dynasty Inn? Wanted to spend around US$50 for a room. |

fazerkhan, check out the Grand Business Inn website - 1600 Baht is about 50 USD a night and the rooms are about equivalent to the Dynasty Inn Grande.
Not very much further away from the action - as I said, just a 10-15 min walk away from Nana Plaza, 15-20 min walk from Guess Bar, and a Skytrain ride away from Patpong! |

So Guys,
Now what should I do? Its my first visit to BKK and I dont see any much difference in any of 3. You guys are there/ were there, So pls recommend me a hotel. My plans to bkk is now delayed till early Jan cos of some personal commitments and besides I could not get the booking both in Majestic & Dynasty for End Nov. |

I don't think there is much differecne between the Majestic Suites & Dynasty Inn, both similar hotels and a good choice, and in similar locations. I'd probably go for the Majestic at a push.
If you can upgrade to the DIG that would be betterm but I think it's a case of booking sooner rather than later and I doubt you'd be disappointed with either. |
