BKK b4 Pattaya? Pattaya b4 BKK? ~ LB-69

I've just booked my trip to LOS, starting on the 26th January and coming home on the 7th February. My question is: i want to stay a few days (from 2 to 4, let's say) in BKK (and i was thinking of visiting the week-end market), checking NEP, Guess bar, Patpong, etc., and the rest would ne in Pattaya. Given my schedule, what would be your advice?

Any of the recommended hotels in the top thread would be fine, perhaps just select the one that best suits your budget.

All of the hotels are in the Nana area, and within walking dsistance of the sky train, which you can easily use to get to and from the weekend market.

Thanks, Kilome, but the advice i need (i was not enough clear, sorry) is about where to go first...BKK or Pattaya? Airport to BKK, staying there for a few days, then to Pattaya until the end of the holiday? Or first from the airport to Pattaya and only to Bkk after that?

It matters not where you go first. Personally, I prefer to finish my hols with three days in Bangkok just to shorten my return journey to Blighty by an hour Laughing

On my next trip however, I am kicking off with four days in the capital then the two hour taxi ride to Pattaya.

It is probably a matter of personal preference, but on a 2 week holiday I like to spend 4 or 5 days in BKK and the other 7 or 8 days in Pattaya.

Sorry, I probably read it too quckly.

As Pen says, it doens't matter but seeing as you want to visit the weekend market in BKK you're obviosuly best to plan to be in BKK over the wekeend, and as you're arriving on a Sat and leaving on a Thursday it's probably baest to go straight toBKK first.
