before I go on with this explanation, I will warn any Japanese forum members this is exactly what I was told by an lb bargirl when I inquired what "555" meant.
She told me that 555 mean 5 inches, 5 minutes and 5000 Baht - when used out of the bar it is a term to indicate celebration, happiness.
I am not sure just how true it is, but I have heard a few other people use "555" in those terms when some Japanese punters entered a bar. |

that one iwe heard as 333
the thai word for 5 is HA so the its true about ha-ha-ha is the same as 5-5-5 or if 555 pronounce as "ha-loi ha siep ha"
disclaimer: finealy iwe got to use a little bit of my thai-course from the old days... |
