The three ones which are close to Bangla would be good choices.

Excellent work freonchen

Perhaps Admin can throw you a few extra points.

I'll put it up as a sticky, as it's a valuable post to those of us who don't know Phuket (including myself)

Nice work. There wasn't too much info on LB friendly hotels in Phuket when I was planning my trip.

I stayed in the C&N Hotel and it worked out fine. It was 'budget' by my standards, (and compared to the DIG in BKK) but it was good. It is a short (very short) walk to Bangla Rd, Cocktails and Dreams, and Soi Ladyboy. Overall, no complaints and would stay there again.

I booked a room with the breakfast buffet not knowing it was optional. I made it to the buffet once. Asking for a room without the buffet will save you ~200 baht a night. Which makes the price very reasonable.

I almost booked the Patong Inn for the trip, and will have to try it or one of the other recommendations next time.

It was 1400 baht a night including breakfast, which wasn't a bad rate considering the location. When I checked out they presented me with the itemized bill, 1200 for the room, 200 for breakfast Shocked That's a lot of pineapple pancakes.

That is what I am interested in:
1. when booking, there is no any option for breakfast.
2. although 1400 includes breakfast,
it doesn't imply that an agent would return your money,
if you give up the breakfast.
* If breakfast is an optional,
I don't think anyone would buy 2x breakfast with 200 Baht,
especially in Thailand.

Hey Freon-
I don't want to beat a dead horse or ruin a great thread and resource you have provided. I may have been too hasty in my earlier post. In answer to your questions:

1. I booked via email, and they said 1400 baht including breakfast. So I thought next time I would email back and ask to have a room without breakfast. Worst they could say is no.
2. Again you are correct - You don't know if you don't ask, but you are correct - no guarantee they will do it. And now that I think about it, it was itemized as 200 Baht per room (room includes two people) so 100Baht each - not that bad.
3. 1400 Baht, a stones throw from Bangla, C&D, and 1 block from the beach - I 'll stop complaining or hagling
Very Happy
Thanks again for putting the list together, just thought you deserved an answer. -Cheers

Have stayed at the Chedi, fan-fucking-tastic hotel. Way out of the way though, so I had to bring my own entertainment

I really recommend the Patong Inn. 1 minute walk to Bangla Road, no hassles even with 2 guests, and the seeview-rooms are really great.

I always had a nice time there.
