Seeing laptops latest avatar of Kimbo Slice, I was wondering if anyone else follows MMA, UFC, ExtremeFC or whatever.
Thought I would start a thread on MMA. Maybe take a few bets on the upcoming fights 
Who is your favorite fighter? Who do you think is going to win in the Kimbo Slice vs. Tank Abbot match. In my opinion it is a bare knuckle brawler vs. a washed up MMA fighter....let's see Kimbo fight a real opponent. What did you think of the Brock Lesnar fight/hype?

Yeah it will be very interesting to see how Kimbo progresses. He is a beast. But is he all hype???? He has trained a lot but may just be a street brawler. But in those street fights he is a hard man.
Royce Gracie was a legend. Pity about the drug thing.
Did you ever see the documentary "The Smashing Machine Mark Kerr"? Great but sad story. |

I'll be watching Kimbo to see how he does. His internet fights were brutal. But I don't think Tank is much of a test. I thought Brock Lesnar lived up to his hype. He lost to a great fighter, but you can tell he has a lot of potential with more experience...maybe Kimbo could do the same.
It's amazing I hadn't heard about Royce and steriods till you mentioned it. I had to go and google it.
The documentary on Mark Kerr was sad. But it was very interesting. |
