How bad is Thailand in July?
Have read that it is Monsoon Season, thinking of going to South East Asia for a month of R N R around June or July. |

| Depends on what you think bad is. It is warm and humid in summer and you will sweat if you are from Euro/USA. However I also always go in summer and all clubs are aircon, same for hotels and cabs so I'm fine;D |

I was there for five days at the end of last July and it rained when I was in the taxi to Pattaya on the first morning , and then rained but was not too bad on my last morning . It was very hot and humid all the time the rest of the days.
I'm aiming for either April/May or Sept/October next time I go over.
I went over at Christmas this year and the weather was really good but I seemed to have missed summer at home |

Hi MarquisDeSade , I did'nt see it really bucket down the way it can here in NZ or even on my last trip in October 06 , but have seen far worse in Hong Kong a few times so I would imagine its about the same .
I think the rain spells would last for longer in Thailand and create far worse conditions as the stormwater drains seem to get fuller quicker and flood the roads. At home I'd wear wet weather gear but in Thailand your not prepared for that sort of weather so get drenched if you dont have an umbrella.
Damn I wish I could give you a better answer. |

Phil your answer is perfect, I think I am taking a bit of a calculated risk but worse case scenario I find me a nice Thai LB to play nurse in Otel |
