OFF THE BEATEN TRACK

Over January this year Anthony and I managed to get off the beaten track for a week or so and explored some of the ladyboys away from our usual haunts.

Each night we jumped on kliome’s trusty moped and headed off the main stretch to some of the beer bar complexes that were largely unknown to us.

I don’t think we found a single group of beer bars that didn’t have at least one or two LBs on show, and every so often we came across a hidden Gem.

Here’s the pick of what we found:

NEW ORN BAR (SOI DIANA INN)

New Orn Bar isn’t too hard to find, it’s about half way up Soi Diana on your right (from 2nd Road), about 20 yards after the pool hall.

I'd heard about this place from a few other BMs but never made the effort to check it out before. There were 6 LBs working when we visited but most of them were a bit rough looking and we only had one drink and moved on.

It’s still worth a mention and a second look though, we were told that more LBs worked there and I’ve heard better reports than the experience we had.

PINK PANTHER (OFF SOI BUAKOW)

pink Panther is a beer bar in a small complex just off Soi Buakow. I can’t remember the name of the soi or complex, but if you come out of Soi Honey Inn and turn right onto Buakaow, the soi and complex should be about 250 yards down on your right, I think it’ll be the first road on your right.

pink Panther was a real gem of a discovery, at least 6 LBs working there, all of them worthy of taking home. They were various ages, a few young ones, a few more experienced, but the English was generally good, and they loved the attention.

What we found was that coming off the beaten track the LBs appreciate the attention more. If you go into a regular LB bar most of the girls know you or at least know what you are after, but hitting some of these places most of the LBs were shocked when we told them we were looking for some ladyboy loving, and they knew how to show their appreciation.

There was also a bar to the left of pink Panther that had 4 LBs, but we never got a chance to check them out.

There were no short time rooms to speak of, which was a shame at first, because I wasn’t in the mood to take someone home, but they did have a store room at the end of the bar complex, and luckily one of the LBs was kind enough to show me the inside..

SOI 2

A large area of beer bars on 2nd Road which run from around soi 4 and past soi 2, mostly opposite the big C.

There are so many beer bars and little complexes around this area, it took a while to hunt out the best LBs. The GGs are a bit full on and annoying, but if you can be patient there are plenty of LBs about,

In total I think we met around 14/15 LBs in this area over two visits. The problem is, that they were mostly spread out, although the beer bar behind the hamburger stall just before soi 2, had more than any other, and at least 3 LBs on the streets trying to lure in the customers to various bars.

FAMILY BAR (VIP BEER BAR COMPLEX – Before Soi 29/1 NAKLUA)

Family have 4 bars, 1 in Soi 8, 2 in close together on 2nd road between soi 1 / 2, and the main bar in Naklua, in the VIP Beer Bar Complex, just before Soi 29/1.

There are a group four beers bars called Family in Pattaya and Naklua, owned by the same boss, which are currently employing a number of LBs and with a view to employ more this year.

Family Best in Soi 8 currently only has one LB on staff, but is looking to employ more and may soon have more on staff,

Family Night and Family (forget name), are within 50 yards of each other on 2nd Rd opposite BIG C, between Soi 2 and the Bowling Alley. Both currently employ 3 LBs of mixed quality, and again, may soon employ more.

Family Bar is the main attraction, in the VIP beer bar complex in Naklua (just before soi 29/1). They currently employ 5 full time LBs of good quality (2 post ops) but the bonus is that after 2am LBs from the other family bars tend to flock there once their bar closes.

The trick is (and I'll wish I'd kept this secret to myself). If you go to Family Bar around 1/2 am and let it be known that you like LBs (better if you are in a group of LB hunters), and you have not made a choice by 2/3, or are asking for more LBs, the staff call up the other LBs at the Family bars and they tend to flock sooner and with more determination! By 4/5am you can find yourself sitting at a little beer bar surrounded by 10+ LBs.

There are also 2 other beer bars that employ LBs within the VIP complex, so it's definitely worth a trip at any time.

There are also GGs at these bars, and two of the GGs at family bar are quite stunning, one even managed to sway Mr. kliome to away from the darkside for a night..

LUCKY STAR BAR

lucky Star Bar is in the Simon Beer bar complex on Wlkaing Street, the last bar on your right, over looking the ocean (very romantic)
lucky Star is one a few people probably already know, but I only found it for the first time this Christmas.

It’s a beer bar down the back of the Simon Complex, opposite Tony’s Disco. It’s a really pleasant bar, mostly GGs but they had 5 LBs on staff the night we visited. The view and set up is also incredible for walking st, it’s one of the few bars that has a view of the sea, which you sometimes forget is there.

Neither of us took any of the LBs from here because we had other plans, but I’ll definitely be sampling the goods here next trip.

POOK and POM BAR (SOI BUAKOW)

pom bar is on Soi Chaiyapoon, just off Soi Buakow, about half way down on your right.

Pook bar is on Soi Buakow, if you turn out oof Soi Chaiyapoon and turn right, it’s about 100 yards on your right, opposite a money exchange kiosk and ATM.

pom bar only has 3 LBs but all three of them are very tasty. Two are slightly older but very level headed and a lot of fun. The 3rd is a bit younger but a real stunner. She wasn’t there when we visited but we were shown pictures (someone had bar fined her for the week).

May stood out as a class act and a week later I meet Donney Key on Stringfellows and he was keen to show off his pics of May and tell me how incredible she was in the sack.

Pook bar, not to be confused with Pook in Soi 6 (same owner), is the afterhours LB hangout on Soi Buakaow. They only have one LB on staff, but after the other beer bars close (2/3am) it usually has another 4/5/6 LBs there seeing the night out. May from pom was is also a regular after pom closes.

SOI 7

Soi 7 between Beach and 2nd Road.

There are too many LBs working in different bars to mention just one bar. Didi’s used to stand out as the LB bar, but it’s since moved around the corner onto Central Pattaya Road.
The LBs seem to be well sread out down Soi 7, often 1 or 2 in most bars as you walk down. The problem is there are so many GGs down here and GG hunters, you can’t be shy, and often have to ask the bar staff where the LBs are. You’d be surprised at some of the girls they point out.

The only worry about this place is that a lot of LBs start off in areas like this, yes you can find a lot of fresh talent, but after they are either underage or speak terrible to no English, or both..

JOMTIEN
SALLY’S (JOMTIEN SOI 5)

Sally’s is the main LB bar of Jomtien. On Soi 5, half way up on your right, heading from the beach.

I’m not sure how many LBs work here, I think it’s about 6 or 7, mixed with GGs.

What makes it such a great LB venue is that most of the customers are GG hunters or couples/families, and it’s such a laid back atmosphere. When the LBs know you’re after them it makes their night and they are keen to impress you.

Again there’s a good mix of young LBs and a few more experienced. They also have ST rooms next door, and generally things are a lot cheaper than back in Pattaya.

54 BAR / Toto and lulu’s / Gin Bar (JOMTIEN SOI White House – Between 7 and Cool

Soi Whitehouse is almost the Soi Katoey of Jomtien. There are 3 bars that employ several LBs. The pick of the bunch is 54 Bar, which had at least 5 or 6 LBs on each of our visits. It’s the first bar you come to on your right, entering from the beach.

A bit further up on the right is Toto and lulu’s, with Gin bar opposite. Toto’s only had 3 LBs but Gin bar across the soi had 4/5.

The only problem is that a lot of these LBs come across as being very shy incomparison to what you’ll experience in Pattaya. You often have to call a girl over, or prove to her you are into LBs for her to open up, but I had one of my best experiences here and one of the LBs became a bit of a regular of mine during my last trip.

Nice "off the beaten path" report, Kliome. You can be sure that this path will be more beaten by the next time you arrive, as the goods certainly seem worthy of the additional effort.

I'm certainly going to hit some of the spots next week and see what materializes.

Is there a time of day or evening you would recommend doing Jomtein? I was thinking about checking out Sally's from the prior reports, but want to maximize my time.

We all know the main areas and of course that there are LB's elsewhere to be found. But to have some guidance on where to go without endless trekking is a godsend, especially during the hot season.

Some invaluable information there compiled by Kliome and his pillion rider anthony during their recent undertaking of ''the knowledge'' through the back streets of Pattaya on that new scooter.

I tend to stick to the more familiar places however, I was very impressed with Family Bar in Naklua with my fav LB being the post-op Mamasan.
About four or five very sexy genetic girls also based there.

Anytime from midafternoon, 7/8pm onwards is a good time to hit Jomtien.

We spent a few nights over that way. things start toi wind down at 1/2am so there's always time to go over to Walking St if you didn't find anything to your liking.

Sally's in Soi 5 is a good plac e to start, but don't miss the LBs in Soi White house, there are at least 10/11 LBs down there even towards the end of the night.

all the facts are there.
we enjoyed doing our bit of off roading, and as kliome points out.
the only problem was, a lot of them dont beleive you are into lb,s and are a bit shy , so you have to do a bit of leg work.
but when they know you are genuine, its a lot more like it.
also, all the off road bars are "normal" drink prices.
bar 54 was so cheap we were shocked. whisky and soda= 35 baht. and the lb,s are far more gratefull to be given the honour of making love to a couple of legends. Laughing

I forgot about the drink proces in jomtien.

It was happy hour from opening until 8pm, 30bht for a Samsong Coke 35bht after. The first night we hit that place I sat there for hours, got wasted, Bar fined, hit the ST hotel across the road for a few hours and stumbled onto the baht bus to get home at 3am and still had ca good 500bht in chaneg fomr the 2k I took out.

Great stuff Kliome, we are all very impressed the way you exhaust yourself researching these out of the way treasures.
Any chance of putting the venues on your Pattaya map. I'll be there in a couple of weeks probably stay at PBR, so near to Pook and Pom Bar, but which way do I turn when I get to Soi Buakow? I'm only in town for 2 nights, no time to waste walking in the wrong direction Very Happy

Excellent write up of the not so well known bars.

I felt guilty reading it as I know most of these haunts but have only posted about the 100% LB bars. Jomtien is great and, for us that need to renew our visas in Soi 5, a drink in Sally's is welcome once the paperwork has been completed.

VIP Bar complex - lively and great fun BUT the music is deafening. One LB there is Sara and she is a Diana Ross look a like.

New Orn Bar - a bit hit and miss. Made the mistake of giving my mobile number to one and she never stopped calling.

As you report it appears nearly every bar has one or more LB's working - as you say these places are less intense as the LB does not know if you are LB or GG orientated.

When I saw her she had back brushed/combed black hair and was in a long hip hugging red dress - Diana Ross.

Terrific personality too - unfortunately she was teamed up with a good friend from Sweden so all I could do was admire his good taste. She says that she is one of 3 mamasans at the VIP Family bar.

She was a lot of fun in the Bar Very Happy

and basically chose me . Wink

She told me she was a MamaSan too and plenty of other things about her life . She is very well hung but her arse was too tight for me and I'm only average Embarassed
