Ladyboy Hunter Joined: 28 Dec 2007 Posts: 359 Points: 3 Location: london	u are right i doubt very much any of the sites will shoot in hd if they dropping the format it all up in the air at the moment from looks of things until they make a decision as microsoft said they might reject the tec all together. mostly i recon to do with cost involved. and kilome u did say to me think betamax and vhs so what happened in the end vhs won same thing will happen.

Moderator Joined: 21 Jun 2006 Posts: 2485	Gareth When Video beat Betamax it DID NOT AFFECT HOW AND ON WHAT PEOPLE SHOT MOVIES, it only effected how movies were physically sold and sotred in the consumer market. LB-69 doesn't sell physical copies of it's materials so what is happening in that market is somewhat irrelevant. I think some people are getting annoyed because you're confusing this whole NON-issue. Blue-Ray is an OPTICAL DISC STORAGE, it has NOTHING TO DO WITH SHOOTING MOVIES and it exists to further HD filming rather than in competition against it. My last attempt to explain... BECAUSE of the POPULARITY and boom growth of HD filming, a new form of DVD - Optical disc storgae had to be brought onto the market. HD films are too large for regular DVDs, so HD DVD and BLUE RAY DVD battled to control the market, (ala VHS and BETA), and now Blue Ray has seemingly beaten HD DVD. Not only does Blue-Ray NOT replace HD as a method of filming, it is actulally here to increase opportunity for HD filming, by giving it a physical storage DVD.
