thought a new thread was needed to discuss this one further.
firstly, can everyone let us know who is a definate yes.?
ive looked through the flights, cheapest was NOK air. return was around 3600.
flying out on 30th return 6th.
now, we could all book the outward flight now?
or, leave it till we are in resort, all in the same room and agree a date.
ideally, id like 7 days in phucket, as beach is wicked.
and have to allow for losing a day on the outward part.
so, i dont mind if we went on the 28th or 29th.
obviously, as much taxi sharing would be done as poss.
batman, if you go, would you be taking OH. ? |

I am definitely up for this trip
My current plan is that I travel alone, re: LB, and hope to share taxis etc. with the 'legends' wherever possible, also flexible with whatever days/dates suit some of you guys.
If we ironed out the details in here of who and when, we could then maybe book the flight tickets so we get the same flight etc., we can arrange taxis to Bangkok when we are there, a few days beforeheand and also share transport to Patong itself from Phuket airport.
Not forgetting hotels; it would be good to be firm on dates as soon as possible so we can each book something.
Looking forward already to the "Phuket Trip of Legends".
So... Who's in
... and let's get those dates fixed |

Well as I mentioned in the other thread I'll only be in LOS from April 9th to the 27th. Then I have to head back to NYC. Us Yanks dont seem to get the time off like the rest.
I would have to get down to Phuket on about the 23rd and head back to BKK on the 26 as my flight back is to NYC is on the morining of the 27. If you folks are interested in getting there a few day earlier say on the 23 that would be great. I would enjoy having some mates to party with! |

You know I'm in.
Perhaps we can agree on an outward flight and get it booked.
Is everyone OK with April 30th BKK to Phuket?
Looking at the prices Air Asia and Nok Air are about the same price on this date, but Nok Air fly from Don Mueang, so I'd suggest we take an Air Asia flight which goes from Suvarnabhumi (new airport). Or am I wrong? Is it better to fly form the old airport? I think the new airport is closer to Pattaya.
If we were to go on 30th using Air Asia here are our options:
FD 3021 0700 (BKK) 0815 (HKT) Adult
769.00 THB Economy Promo
FD 3033 0750 (BKK) 0920 (HKT) Adult
769.00 THB Economy Promo
FD 3023 1050 (BKK) 1215 (HKT) Adult
769.00 THB Economy Promo
FD 3035 1355 (BKK) 1510 (HKT) Adult
699.00 THB Economy Promo
FD 3031 1525 (BKK) 1645 (HKT) Adult
769.00 THB Economy Promo
FD 3025 1630 (BKK) 1745 (HKT) Adult
1,099.00 THB Economy
I like the look of the 10.50 or 13.55 flights. |

Sorry Larry Larry, I wasn't ignoring your comments.
I think Batman and Anthony need to go to Phuket towards the very end of April to tie in with the end of their trips. But I know a few of use will be in BKK for a few days around 11/12/13 April, so if we don't see you in Phuket it would be good to meet up in BKK. |

Kliome, you are correct about Suvarnabhumi being closer to Pattaya than Don Muang.
If you are not having to make any connections at Suvarnabhumi, then it won't make much difference which airline you use - actually Don Muang would be less crowded, so you could get through the check in more quickly, etc.
However, if there is any need for a connecting flight, you are better using an airline flying out of Suvarnabhumi.
Have fun guys! |

good research kliome.
not bothered which airline on way out.
theres no benefit to booking a return trip.
booking 2 one way flights is the same cost.
i would prefer to fly out on the 29th.
it is slightly cheaper, but really that would give me 7 nights and batman 6 nights.
air asia is cheapest .
leaving on 29th on the 13.55 flight total cost is 1.175. (baht).
when you convert that into english its almost laughable.
im up for booking the flight out before we go.
but would prefer 29th.
all return flights can be booked seperate.
are you a definate batman? |
