Spent most of last night drinking in Pattaya's "Pooks Swan Bar", located in Soi Buakow. This is currently my favourite Ladyboy venue in Pattaya, and I have made a point of checking out every Ladyboy venue in town, from Jomtien to Naklua, and inbetween. This may change once Pooks Bar in Soi 6 re-opens and many of the staff migrate back. I hear that Pooks Bar in Soi 6 will contain a ladyboy soapie massage upstairs.
Left Pooks Swan Bar some time after midnight, and barfined two very sweet girls, and arranged to meet Sombat for a quick drink at New Orn Bar in Soi Diana.
After sitting at the bar for a little while, this French guy starts heading over my way, presumably to introduce himself, but then starts ranting & raving in French, despite my best efforts trying to explain I couldn't understand a single word he was saying.
He was noticeably drunk, and was spilling his drink around me, prompting me to get up from my bar stool and stand my ground.
All of a sudden he starts trying to grab and fondle the two ladyboys I had in my company, in a really agressive and unwarranted manner.
I managed to get him away from the ladyboys, but he remained in the bar, and I honestly was feeling very pumped, and would have loved to have decked this French Asshole.
Being in Thailand, I tend to show a little more restraint, but after I'd finished my beer, myself and my company promptly left.
The fact the guy was French is pretty insignificant, but it did make me wonder whether other guys on the forum had witnessed similar behaviour from intoxicated farangs ?
This guy definitely needed a good smack in the mouth, and I can only hope he's not a member of this forum or any other I'm associated with.
Cheers

Never nice to hear of experiences like that KK.
Was his behaviour particularly targeted at your party because Ladyboys were present
I have to admit that while in Pattaya, I do not make a habit of escorting ladyboys from bar to bar outside their usual workplace. More and more these days, Sin City is where the euro ''lager louts'' choose to holiday in packs and a guy with a ladyboy is an easy target. |

I had a problem twice with the magician from the 131 magic nights. Both times he was in Blue Ice shouting and ranting and like KK's "mate" he was grabbing LB's all over the bar. They were getting rather angry. Usually it is worse in the gg bars. Ive seen plenty of fuckwits in Soi 6 especially. |

hi kk / pentire
i agree with pentire i wouldnt usually take a ladyboy out of her working area and go bar to bar , although on my last trip i did spend a night with pond trying to do every ladyboy bar in patts and got a lot of looks as i rode around 2nd rd and beach road on a pink moped with pond on the back holding an umbrella as it was raining lol
anyways thats another story . but one night i was at a bar on soi8 with a gg when this drunken dutch guy in his fifties turned up with a young gg in tow and seemed hellbent on striking a conversation up with me .i tried to be civilised throughout our encounter but his behaviour was very erratic .
i couldnt work out if he was a threat to me or just talking bollocks .at times he was very in my face ranting expletives and in another backing off smiling and apologising . like kk i stood my ground firmly and was uncomfy due to being in thailand and not wanting any trouble .
it all died off and me and my gg for the night quietly exited . this behaviour i have witnessed a few times now in my last 2 trips and is quite unsettling .
i'm english and drink beer like its water when i'm in Los but i dont reflect the yob culture of a select few of my british counterparts . i keep to myself enjoy the company i'm with and retire back to my shag quarters for shower n boom boom
these days wherever you go you will always get these situations , let's hope its not a growing trend in patts.

If I'm with an LB I like to go where ever and don't avoid any places or activities. If you can't do it in thailand where can you do it?
I've only really had confrontations a couple of times and in both cases the farangs were plastered.
It's a bit 'gay' and PG13 but you sometimes just have to walk away when things get too hairy, decking someone just isn't worth any possible hassle in the long run. But I don't think there's any serious danger or need to avoid certain bars or areas when with an LB friend. You can see the farang you need to avoid from way off, and anyone with a football shirt, sunbrunt and baseball cap is usually a good start. |

My last trip featured encounters with two different drunks.
The first was with a British dude who was staggering up Walking Street. I was sitting in the ozzie pub next to Blue Ice having a beer, when this dude walks up to me and starts to tell me his life story. As sad as it was (blah, blah, blah, I'm not insensitive, but FFS, I'm also not the answer to his problem either). When it was clear that I wasn't interested in being his new best friend, he became aggressive and insulting. He took an unsure step backward, fell over a bar stool (put there by another patron, trying to keep him away from getting any closer to him) and hit the deck. When he got up, he simply ran off.
The other incident was not unpleasant, but I expected this guy to turn any second. I was in Tornado on Soi 6 and there was this BIG bodybuilder looking guy, bouncing from the street to the front of the bar into the bar and back. He was acting like a total jackass and obviously pissed. He came in and started talking to me and the other guys I was with, and he was from Estonia. This guy's muscles had muscles and he just kept putting the beer down.
It was the situation like, "keep him happy" but you could see he was no more than another drink or two from getting nasty (as he got a little testy with one of the guys during a conversation about Sweden (???).
It was time to leave before the bomb went off.
I'll take happy drunks over nasty drunks any day, except when the happy ones suddenly turn nasty!

Actually forgot about one dude i saw in JP bar. He as an Ozzie guy and he looked pretty rough. He was swaying from side to side staring at 1 girl. He was a big unit and i could see something was going to soon kick off. Out of nowhere he poured his drink over some poor gg's head and then grabbed her by the throat. She was terrified. But within seconds 3 thai guys had him on the ground. It came as a surprise to me that they didnt kick his head in. The poor girl was really shaken up. JP Bar at 6 am+ is filled with headcases. Farangs and thais. |

come to think of it on my last trip i was drinking with this big burly blonde american and we seemed to be at an indifference as to who were the great guitarists of rock . a few beers had been downed and it was obvious he was losing the arguement . at one point he looked like he could turn real nasty real quick
cant quite fully remember his name roy rick ralph ronaldo fuk i can't remember but it did start with an "r"
anyways he is one to keep at a distance if he looks like he has had one too many

| It's about 150 yards north of Soi Diana Inn, not far after Soi Honey Inn on your right. |

There was only 1 LB there before 2am when I was last there, with about another 4/5 turning up after 2am.
It seems with the Soi 6 bar being refurbished it's busy, but once Pook 6 is active again, Pook Swan is best left until the early hours.
An ideal place for a nightcap if you are staying around Buakaow. |

It's always a great shame when some asshole takes the shine off a nice evening.
I think most of us who take LBs out and socialise with them away from the LB venues endure sneers and smug comments from passers-by or whoever from time to time, but unwelcome physical contact is unnacceptable.
As stated above, if you cannot enjoy sexual freedom of choice in Thailand, where can you FFS?! |
