Lady Drink Prices ~ LB-69

Hey guys. I don't know about you but I'm completely pissed-off with paying nearly 200 B for a 'lady drink'. Its fine for me to buy a lady a drink when she at least makes out she's interested in me! The good news is I went to Cocktails & Dreams in Patong last night and they now have reduced the price. Its called a 'Promo drink' on the bill and is only 80 B. You still pay the extra 50B that the staff get which is fine with me. At 130B all-up I'm more than happy. The other LB bars should wake up & they'll sell more piss.

cocktail and dreams is a top venue, in patong, not only are the lady drinks resonable but the place it self is tops !
you need to think tho, if most girls only raise a salary from comission on drinks they will hassle for them, unless there been bar fined at least 4 times a week its a shity wage so evey baht counts, have a heart buy them a drink enjoy the company and give them a tip for there time my friend even if you dont bar fine them.
you will get a warmer welcome when you next enter the bar as they see you as a nice guy and not a cheap charlie, and the expereince you will recieve if you do bar fine will be second to none.

I almost always buy at least 1 LD at each bar which I think is fair.. but it annoys me when Im already talking to a lady and have bought her a LD and im annoyed by other girls to buy them LD's too. On average i see LD's from 80-120 B and if its a popular venue ive seen 150b

Generally , whether LB or GG bar the normal price for a LadyDrink is 100 to 150 Baht. Gogo's may charge more.

Ladydrinks the bar pays commission, on each drink, to the staff - this may be 30 to 50 Baht for the drink.

The ladydrink is normally just fruit juice or coke - if you buy her a proper drink then this may be billed as a normal drink and not a LadyDrink OR the normal drink will have a surcharge

It is intended as an opportunity to speak to your 'selected' prospect - she will spend some time with you so you can then decide if you would like to BarFine her.

The BarFine is to compensate the bar for leaving the bar - anything beyond that is up to you and nothing to do with the bar. The girl normally gets a commission from the BarFine

Most bars give the staff a quota/target of LadyDrinks and BarFines to achieve each month. So if a lady has not met her quota towards the end of the month she is more likely to hassle customers. Just like salespeople with sales targets/quotas.

Most bar staff depend on Ladydrink commissions to pay for their daily meals etc.

So a Ladydrink is 100 to 150 Baht - 2 to 3 Euros, 3 to 5 USD. What do you pay at home for a drink?

I hate those lady drinks. I'm definitely not a cheap charlie but I usually just buy a drink for a girl that I'll take home anyway. So, the girl would be better off getting paid 100 baht more by me instead of getting a drink.

Sure, why not throw my money out of the window for nothing at all! Sorry, but most times I don't want to talk to the girls at all. It's the same bullcrap talk every time. If I'm up to take a girl home, I make my decision within 2 seconds after seeing her. If I just take a seat in the bar to have a drink, I don't want a girl sitting next to me all the time.

Just "having a heart" I'd rather send my money to an African child!

Besides, a girl asking for a drink nevern gets one from me. In the rare case that I'm actually talking to a girl for a little longer, I always buy one after 5 minutes. She asks me for one before 5 minutes are over? Byebye, no drink...

Good news! The bar I always visit on the weekend doesn't charge ladydrinks after barfining a girl (yeah, that is what they are supposed to do in every bar, but usually don't)...

Well i agree with the above thread, i noticed all above LB bars when you buy them LD they only drink soda or some shit, whats the point? Other bars at least they can enjoy alcohol and it doesnt seem like a waste of 100b for soda. Id rather just give the girl the money, because they dont get the full 100b for the drink right? Sure the bar makes money off of it, but they also get money off of the drinks we drink, and barfines.

But really i dont have a problem buying at least 1 LD in the bar per visit, but just thought it was odd they drink soda.. most other bars they always get whiskey+coke.

I'm more than happy to buy several ladies a drink each time I visit a bar , but then I'm only in Thailand for a few weeks each year .
I guess if your staying long term it could be a pain in the ass.

200 bht does seem a bit high though.

I've got no problem with buying a drink. Hell they are trying to make a living and it's rare that I don't get groped which is pretty good for a dollar or two Wink

that is the big difference whether you are here on a holiday or living here, when i first came here on holiday id easily spend more then 4k baht a day, but now im living here i go out 3-4 times a week so cant blow 400 baht on lds a day.
