Have you ever actually visited thailand ? ~ LB-69

i really, really, really want to go end of this year or early next year (january/february) before i go back to uni.

i'm just a little worried with traveling on my own, being my first time and all. sigh.

Do not worry about that at all. If you get to Pattaya there is an Aussie bar in Walking St; The Roo Bar. Roundy is the owner and has been there for 16 years. He will take good care of you.

Pattaya is safe to walk around at most hours and beach Rd is the only place I would not venture after 10pm. All the tourist Sois are fine and power on well into the night.

There are BM meetings and get togethers' regularly. I am new to this board but am sure that the BM's on this site get together regularly. I have been on several pub crawls around Pattaya with BM's of other sites and these are usually weekly, visiting a number of places each time.

Being on your own has advantages and disadvantages. I have travelled alone 3 times and always head to the Roo Bar to start the evening. You are never alone if you choose not to be. One of my best mates is from my first trip to Pattaya, and we met at the Roo Bar.

25 trips since '95, # 26 next month...I usually take a few LBs per trip, the rest are hot GGs. LBs are more of an occasional, exciting appetizer for me, never the main course of a trip. But, I DO enjoy them, they can be LOADS of fun!

Interesting poll but you dont have to be much of a man to walk into a bar and pick up a ladyboy. Its all really easy, as remember they want and need your custom. Also as many are beautiful, fun , sexy and sweet everything else comes easy to. Dropping the habit could be much more diffiult as they are so sexually enticing.

Oze, I've travelled around the world on my own quite a bit and I find Thailand to be one of the safer, freindlier places, as long as your not an obnoxious dickhead and don't get too paraletic , you should be right.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, guys. Everywhere I've read, and not just here, suggests that Thailand is a perfect place to travel on your own.

On and off since 1991, i was 19 on my first trip, first ladyboy.
Since then i`ve been travelling the world but are forced to stay Thailand now and then, because of a long term relationship (ok, i can deal with it, since she is paying for most of it).

How the fuck can anyone stand "walking street"...
