Its all fine and well giving moral arguments about drug abuse and its causes and effects .

Darth Fader made a point that Thais are being introduced to yabba by farangs which is completely untrue .

First Laptop and then myself made a simple reply that this position was false , maybe I missed something but where in either post did either of us claim to be for the use of yabba .

When faced with something you both obviously feel very strongly about you are better to be armed with the facts , instead of just moral arguements about drugs .

FACT- The drug trade in Asia has been around (and been a very lucrative business ) for hundreds of years , long before any farang influence , and primarily as an export business .

FACT - Yabba or ice is readily available in Pattaya via the Thai mafia , quite easy to spot as they wear yellow bibs and moonlight as motorbike taxis , its sold on by a wide number of sources from bargirls to corrupt Policemen .
Any Thai who tries the drug is gonna be introduced to it by their own circle of friends , kinda puts us farangs in the clear don't you think ?

Of course yabba fucks up lives , lectures from internet drug experts won't change that .

If someone came up to me in a bar in Thailand and gave me some free pills, there is no way on earth I would take them.

Who invented Yabba my friend?

The germans not asia. The german army used it in world war II to let troops fight longer. Air plane pilots got the same. The germans discovered the side effects and became a bit cautious to use it again. By the way the japanese army in china used it at Nanking (read the internet what happened then, talking about facts mr soulboy)During and after woII the US army became interested in it too. They used it to let troops stay awake. In the 60's and 70's it was used semi legal. Later because of the side effects it became illegal. After that for awhile heavier stuff took over until in the early 90's XTC and other babies became popular again in disco's in europe and US. Also it was still used by army guys. Asia got in touch with this shortly afterwards.In myopinion the nice farang brought this to Asia. So my dear soulboy Asia has had many drugs for ages but not this one. Sorry but that is fact too. It just proves how little you really know about the difference in drugs. It is not all the same but ok stick to your view and believe in the farang. Up to you. On my trips in Asia i've seen too many nice farangs and my rule number one is:I stay away from farangs as much as possible
Yes the current scene is run by thai too. But who learned them the tricks us farangs. Never forget that. Also in europe XTC was and still is the largest problem under young people. Seems to me that the people on the street are using it for a reason already . Same as any other drug you do it because your mates are doing it or you have the urge to use it .

I have noticed the warning signs thanks to opinions posted here and have avoided situations because of it.

The risks have been widely known for years, yet people continue to harm themselves.

It all starts with one person saying no. If the demand goes away, so does the problem.
