Just wondering what everyone's profession is, and how you guys go about paying to travel to Thailand as much as some of you do Smile

Myself, I'm a poor student studying Communication Design, which I love, and working part time in a Liquor Store. It's safe to say that I don't make enough money to head to Thailand all the time, let alone once haha. I do have a plan to head there end of the year/early next year though.

So, how about you guys? Cool

Well I am a student too mate. Laughing But only a couple of months left. Ive a job in investment banking starting in September, in which I hope to relocate to se asia in the future.

My first trip to LOS was just after my undergrad degree. I didnt come with too much money but it was my best trip. When you are young and you dont really know the deal, you can get away without spending a fortune. I was living in Oz at the time and I only had about 80 AUD a day in LOS. Flights with a Burma Airline were about 900 AUD. So you should be able to do it.

Good luck

I'm a professor of theoretical physics where I teach and engage in research at a major university. I have the luxury of not teaching in the summer, which allows for a nice block of time to travel each year. I have also been known to jet over during shorter academic breaks for 10 days or so, to feed the need.

One of the big benefits of my profession is the sabbatical year, which comes every seven years. I take an entire year (with up to 100% pay under certain conditions) and do what I want with it. My next one will be in LOS for sure.

I also do some consulting work to provide additional income, and have been a serial entrepreneur (and founded and sold two companies over the years).

When I retire, I'm going to teach sailing to underprivileged ladyboys on my boat!

I am a pharmacist, I've been working ex-pat for for the past 13 years, mostly in the Arabian Gulf region. Get about 6 weeks of holidays with these jobs - and currently teaching pharmacy technology (technician diploma program) at a college where we get almost 3 months of holidays. Plenty of visits to LOS along with an annual trip back to Canada.

I work as a textile agent, representing overseas suppliers in Australia. I get to China, Dubai and Thailand a few times each year, always fly Thai, always via BKK or Pattaya Very Happy
Never enough time in LOS, but I'm lucky to get there 5 or 6 times each year, even if play time is only 2 or 3 days each visit.
I next hit BKK on 19 May straight to Korat, next day back to BKK for 24 hrs before heading to Dubai for a week. On my way home 48 hours with my special friend in Pattaya Wink
Life is good
