I'm gonna head out on Thai Airlines, although bit miffed no personal TV on 747 flights from London. I'm on Economy at the back.

Does anyone know where the Big TV's are on the plane so when I pick my seats (if I can, not sure on thai) that I pick where I can see the TV screen.

Thanks

When you are booking ask to see the seat selection view on your travel agent's computer. The big screens are located on the bulkheads - so select your seat according. If you are flying on some of Thai Airways new planes, (777s) they do have personal videos built into each seat for economy and provide video on demand - but not as big a selection as Singapore, Emirates or Qatar Airways.

Thai Airways started last year to install personal screens in their 747 fleet. But of course one after another, so it will take some time.

Take your notebook with you and watch some dvd´s if you feel bored!

I think all the aircraft they use for Australian destinations have the personal screens.

No I flew Thai from Bkk to Sydney on the 18th of May and much to my disgust the 777 didn't have individual screens.

I have a sneaking suspicion that it was set up for domestic flights and they shoved it on the international flight as it was the midnight so they supposed that people wouldn't need in flight personal video.

Wrong

Sad

I Can, usually I manage to obtain 8 hours sleep in the China Airlines biz class from Amsterdam to Bangers.....Plenty of champagne, few glasses of red and an extra large brandy following a fab dinner and I'm away.
