Pu Shi side (The old Shanghai) is Fun alonside the river, not sure about the nightlife.
Taxi are sure Useless, unless you Speak the Local Shangainese.
There are a few spots on the old section, renovated, but just reataurants.
More familiar with the Pu Dong (New side) where all the tall buildings are. Used to stay at the Intercontinental when I was there, Classy, but Pricy. LB were all Philippinos, either from vicesisters or alt sites. Asking RMb 1000 Short time.
Yes I did indulge a few times, tired of polishing my pecker.
All together, not a fun place, Noisy, Polluted, and Rude.
Was happy to return to Hong Kong after each stay there |

| Thanks for the info, I'm not looking for ladyboys, just general places of interest, night life spots etc. |

Hi
I live in Shanghai, been here for about 5 months. Happy to recommend some places to go and catch up for a drink. I am travelling a bit in June but hope we can catch up. I am always looking for some drinking buddies.
I can recommend a few hotels, make sure you stay on the Puxi side as that is were most of the tourist sites are and best bars. As mentioned in the other posts the LB scene is pretty small in Shanghai, but there are a few around and a couple of bars in Puxi always seem to have a few after midnight. You can send me a PM message with your dates and I can see if I am around.
Ps its not as bad a place as others might suggest, you just have to get used to the locals and be prepared for the higher prices, especially the drinks.
Cheers

I'm based in Beijing but travel to Shanghai on a pretty regular basis. PM me with your dates as there's always a chance our travel times might overlap.
Generally speaking China is a lot more expensive than Thailand but prices on the p4p scene can vary widely and there are plenty of gg's available for a relative pittance.
The other thing is that Shanghai and Beijing both have a lot of big clubs packed with young kids with money in their pockets out looking for a good time, so there are plenty of options outside of p4p. |
