Been British is about driving a German car to a Irish pub for a Belgian beer, then on the way home, grabbing a Indian curry or Turkish kebab, to sit on a Swedish sofa and watch American shows on a Japanese tv.
And most of all been suspicious of anything Foreign ! Oh and only in Britain can you get a pizza to your home faster than a ambulance , banks leave both doors open and chain pens to the counter, supermarkets make sick people walk to the back of the shop for prescriptions whilst healthy people get cigs at the front of the shop.
We may be British but were funny as Fuck !

on a similar note.
i get quite a hard time from the lb,s because im from birmingham, its part of the way we speak to end every sentence with the word "man".
i cant help it, if you,ve heard ozzy osborne you,ll know what i mean.
anyway, the amount of times an lb has said "why you call me man"
"sorry,i cant help it man, its where im from" |

Tell me about it Stevie , I seem to have the same traits but have not lived there for some time .
I recently left NZ to buy an English club Jersey (Wasps) that has a NZ owned label (Canterbury) , made in China and bought in Scotland . |

Sorry getting abit off track here .
Not sure Anthony , our news here is so one-eyed that we would not hear the exact facts .
The man himself says he's a Kiwi as his parents are Kiwis and he left Aussie when he was five. His backers are Kiwis so I guess its a Kiwi affair . |

Well he's curretly working in a hospital in Denmark, but if you shout him a case of Singha, he'll be at Heathrow within the hour
Actually in two weeks time I will have spent half my life (the first half) in England and the second half in Australia and I can tell you England is a great place to COME from.
BTW Phil/Slappy that driver was definitely Aussie. The rule seems to be: If they've spent 5 minutes of their life in Australia and achieved success, naturally they are Australian, conversly they can be in Australia for 50 years, rob a bank and they would be British, Kiwi American etc. criminal
Seems reasonable enough.
Anyway, Lek is finally out of the shower so we should soon hit the street, actually we are going Issan dancing tonight
I can recommend it if you are not out hunting |
