Hi all,
I am planning a trip to thailiand am travelling to phuket, bangkok and koh samui.
My travel agent booked the following hotels
Phuket - Graceland Resort
Bangkok - Siam City Hotel
Koh Samui - Nora Chaweng Hotel (next to chaweng regent resort)
I can find information on the hotels in phuket and bangkok but apparently the hotel in koh samui is very new and does not have any information on the internet (no website). Has any stayed at this place and/or now if it is a good. (apparently 4 stars)
Also has anyone stayed at the places i have listed in phuket and bangkok and are they ok?
Any information greatly appreciated... |

| I'd also like any information on hotels in Koh Samui - am thinking of just renting a house but can't decide between that and a hotel. |

If you want to go to samui, i would suggest you better stay at lamai beach. Lamai Inn 99 is a good choice.
Be aware that the siam city hotel in bangkok is not "guest-friendly". |

| Lots to choose from on that site - any ideas of which would be LB friendly and upmarket? |

Stayed at some place called weekender on Lamai- but that beach really stinks, not sure why you’d want to stay there. I thought hotel was ok but mates were too high class so we went all out to central samui resort- biggest and best on chaweng strip. 5 star was a first for me. that buffet! Best thing is they keep the beach clean and keep most of the sellers away – except the important ones like the beer man etc. somehow they managed to keep the water cleaner too – crazy. Its like you walk up to the bpacker end and the huts etc and its completely different. So much luxury but didn’t need it so found the Samui Natien Resort up the the end there and convinced them all to stay there. I Liked this place- but too many kids about/ in the pool etc. But maybe in low season u might be lucky. Not sure about lb/joiner policy etc. it seemed relaxed and private so who knows..
things might’ve changed since 06. But there wasn’t a lot of lb action from what I could see- but I was with the str8 mates so…better asking some of the legends round here. I noticed some lbs handing out flyers for some cabaret place but it seemed more like a drag scene- I think it was closing down?
They sure are doing a great job of ruining that island. Same old story I guess. Still its near koh tao If that’s your thing- its worth getting there before it turns into samui! |
