Two years ago DM and I were in Pattaya and it flooded like that 3 times in 2 weeks. Proper floods and it doens't seem to take long for 2nd Road to collect it all up. I think it was late July/early august.
At one stage we were trapped in a beer bar near beach road for 9 hours. Not the worst place in the world to be caught.
It's amazing how many bars and shops get gutted by the rain because they are ill-prepared, and yet it happens just about every year.
Bangkok seems to get the heavy rain late May and June, and then it moves on to Pattaya for July and August. |
