The cost of living is getting beyond a joke in the UK, if it isn't daily fuel price increases, then its supermarket food.
And now they are talking about gas/electric going up by as much as 40% later this year !!
But inflation is happening globally, everybody is feeling the pinch, money seems to go threw my hands like water nowadays
And there isn't any good news on the LOS front either, all the airlines are cranking up their airfares, and the exchange rate is crap to say the least.
I don't see me visiting thailand for quite some time
Please leave your depressing thoughts on the economy here |

Times are hard for sure. I just left a rant about US Air trying to charge me more to change my flight than it would take to rebook it from scratch. What a joke.
Although times and money is tight, I still planning on taking vacations, and flights to LOS aren't that much more expensive now than they were a year ago...probably not for long which is why I booked early. And as far as exchange rates, I actually get a few more Baht to the dollar than last year.
I'm willing to pay a few more bucks to get there, because once I hit the ground it is still cheaper than taking a holiday in the US or Mexico. I went to Cabo last month for a short reprieve, and it cost me almost as much as going to LOS my last visit, and I was in Mexico for a shorter time, with a lot less fun!! |

Sorry I can't oblige. My life is almost perfect and I don't have any worries or stress...
If I think of something, though... |

Probobly the same all over the world , my work wont employ new staff to keep up with the workload so we end up doing overtime . I've not had a week off from doing extra hours since April which works out well as I have more money for trips . |

Hi trentsocal...
It's something about my egregious online character and the anonymity of message boards that makes me behave completely against my usual charming and self deprecating manner.
But basically I would say to anyone who gets the LOS blues... get yer ass out here and leave the shit behind you in a cloud of dust.
No point being gay about spilt milk, right? |

Scandinavia calling... expensive here to.
Me and my girlfriend (ladyboy) live in a 2-room apartment and both are working fulltime with average salary, no kids.
Money is not a problem for us... But i have to agree that the cost of living here is sky high compared to Siam. Back there we have a big house with no rent or loans.
Is the flight prices on it`s way up? Well if they double the price we don`t mind to much, because we are loaded togheter.
Take my advice and hook up with a rich ladyboy... |

It looks more and more that you are loaded full of shit.
Your postings was ok before, even refreshing to see that someone made a long term relationship with a lb work out.
But now you sound like an egocentric bragging kid, and yes of course, ex power lifter
I even doubt you are from Scandinavia |

All those except pentire, who is obviously minted
Surely most here have morgages or rent which seems to go up every 6months, and if your a motorist then the british government are out to shaft you in the pocket.
Even the price of fuel now is bloody disgusting, 133.9 a litre for diesel in my neighbourhood, and my road tax is going up from £215 per year to £400, and it ain't got nowt to do with my carbon fucking footprint either |

The cost of living has increased all over the world and that includes Thailand. Don't be surprised as long as the price of oil stays high, that the costs of p4p will increase. I think the days of the 500 - 1000 Baht ST shags are limited as long as the oil prices stay high.
Also for those guys who think that is going to ruin things for them, just think about what has happened in your own country with increasing prices, the girls face the same problems. |

Are you jelous?
Yes powerlifter (not ex) it`s one of my hobbies, best lifts so far 660kg, it`s rather good to be an "all round athlete" my bodyweight is around 80kg at a height of 180cm. I can do a workout with you anytime dawgh and prove myself...
Jag är född och bor i Sverige och Siam, 100% svensk och stolt över det. Kom över och hälsa på nån gång, du har ju nära hit från Norge...
Since i started writing in this forum i have been totally honest.
I think you are suffering from the "little brother complex" as is often the case between Sweden and norway... Get over it. |
