Hiya, ok I read the forums but still don't know where to book!
I like the look of the Pattaya Beach Resort but at Soi15 seems a long way from the action?
I really want one right by all the LB action, with Wifi in room and a pool with no charges for LB 2000 Baht a nite maximum?
Any ideas?
Thanks |

The action is spread, unless you are a late night guy and like your discos and the post 2am scene, in that case you would want to be close to Walking Street, although you'll soon find it's easy to get around.
How about LK Renaissance or Areca Lodge both on Soi Diana and popular with the BMs. Close to La Bamaba and Stringfellows and a short Baht Bus ride to Walking St. |

| PBR is actually very close - you walk through a mall just outside the entrance and you're at La Bamba and Stringfellows - Walking st is a 5 min stroll from there and it ticks all your other boxes.... |

Hiya, sorry I meant close to LB action... by what I can make out most of the action is on soi 6? so say if I stayed at Flipper Lodge or Hotel, then I would be a stone throw away.
To be honest I want to just go out of the hotel down to the LB area and out.
So would I be right in thinking that Flipper on Soi7 is in middle of LB and GG bars so very central?
Thanks |

Firstly soi 7 and 8 are quite far from soi 6, you'd want to get a baht bus or it's a 20-30 minute walk in the heat (or rain )
The LB action is EVERYWHERE. Soi 6 is popular for sleazy day time fun, Soi 7 and 8 are good for beer bars and have plenty of LBs about, 13 to Pattayaland have a few LB bars, (Stringers, La Bamba, Obsessions) and Walking street is the hot spot from midnight to dawn. |

THAT important? Taking a bus back to the hotel might cost you 10 minutes... that's pretty much nothing.
I'd prefer a nice hotel fitting my specs to/over (what's the right one?) a short walking distance. |

Im surprized nobody has recommended the dynasty soi 13, bang in the middle, inbetween walking st and soi 7/8.
Everything in pattaya is reasonably within a 5minute walk |

The Dynasty doesn't have wi-fi available from the rooms, only in the lobby, and no other forum of hi speed internet available from the rooms themselves.
It does technically have a pool, but all the reports I ever read are how small and inadequate it is.
Despite staying there for many years myself, I'll be looking for alternate accommodation on my next stay in Pattaya.
I'll be staying at LK Renaissance in Soi Diana next time.
Keep in mind that everything in Pattaya is only a few minutes away by foot or Baht Bus wherever you decide to stay.
I think guys who haven't been there get confused looking at the maps.
Cheers

| Unless something has changed recently I think technically the joiner fee is for your 2nd guest. I spent 8 days there in May and never paid a joiners fee even with a 2nd guest on one night. |

If you have 3 guests would that not be a foursome? |

Did you mean The Pattaya Bay Resort?
Yeah, that two minute walk from soi 15 to soi 13/1 gets to me every time.
After three minutes on my feet I'm ready to go back to the hotel for a nap!

Think you got in wrong about location near SOI 6.
LK Renaissance super location, super rooms, superb friendly service, nice pool, good breakfast.
(1. )It has New Orm Bar on doorstep,( 2 )Go to your left as you leave, walk 100 yards, turn left another 100 yards and theres The Pook Swan Bar. ( 3 )Go right to end of street and your on second road, a couple of streets down is Soi 13 with Stringfellows and Labamba. (4) About 10 minutes walk to walking street. |
