Gents,

I'm curious about the reviews you have on The Place To Stay in Phuket. I stayed in the C&N Hotel on my last trip to Patong, and wanted to move after the first night. (I didn't and wound up with a horrible sinus infection I blamed on their A/C.....killed the rest of my trip)

I saw the 'Legends Tour' planned on booking the whole place at one point. Not too far from Bangla and C&D, what's the review? I've seen the website, looks good to me.....should I book it or look elsewhere?

(I don't care it doesn't have a pool, the beaches are top shelf in Phuket except for that dude trying to sell me Harley Davidson models?...)

Cheers, Hoot

Hello Hoot,

I am the owner of "The Place To Stay", and just happened to see your post today. I am an American and try my best to keep a standard here that is above even the 4 star hotel who is my neighbor. I expect you will get some other replies from my past customers as they read your post, I have several who are repeat visitors here.

Each suite here has it's own air conditioner and it is cleaned after each customer. Everything is each suite is cleaned each time we change customers. I have a housekeeper who cleans and changes linen daily provided she can gain access to the suite.

If there is anything I can do to help facilitate your stay here, please feel free to email me and I will do my best to help.

I hope to meet you here in Patong Beach!

Right! You can't get better service than that!! Less than an hour and the owner emails me himself Very Happy Thanks for posting so quickly tapicoa or is it Tom (got it from the website Very Happy ) I've see some good reviews from the BM's on your place, just wanted to confirm....

Hopefully you don't have any issues with booking this early for November or December. I'll shoot you an email with my needs shortly. Sounds like the Place to Stay is the place for me, and you replying so quickly confirms it.... Laughing

I'd personally have no hesitation in making arrangements to stay there again next time I visit Phuket.

I like the guesthouse style over a hotel from time to time and it seems just right at TPTS. Of course there's no 'breakfast included' etc., but there is a kitchen and fridge available so you can DIY or a local restaurant. I did the same as Anthony and stocked up on Weetabix and milk from Carre-Four.

Location is excellent, seconds from the boy bars of the Paradise Complex where there are LB cabarets at certain times in some venues and femboys and ladyboys in abundance. Jimbo's C&D's is only a short stagger away too.

Tom is a very helpful host and always on hand if needed and the place is very clean with friendly non-intrusive staff.

Also, despite having Dirty Mike and kliome staying there at the same time I never heard a thing from their rooms Laughing

Recommended Very Happy

oh what a shame I went Phuket last January for the first time and I thought The place to Stay looked perfect so I booked the flight, room and pick up service on the net but there was a no show at the airport,I trolled up and down the different take you to this or that hotel signs at the airport but no car and trying to explain to a taxi driver " take me to the place to stay" was impossible unless one knew the Soi etc. which I didn't or the phone no. which I also never had with me, the taxi driver took me to an O.K hotel on beach road about 50 metres right going down Bangla Road.
I received an email when I got back saying the guys car wouldn't start
and very sorry so suppose the moral of this story is take some contact details with you.
