As above i wonder sometimes with some of the stories and warnings i read that a fisty cuff has not broken out. I wouldnt think that a guy would throw the first punch but maybe a crazy drugged LB?
anyone seen this happen or have it happend to you?
FYI August 14 will be my first trip to LOS, cant wait! |

It has not happened for a while but I did have a fruit cake aim a kick to my shins six or seven years ago in Nana Plaza.
Apart from that it has just been tantrums & the odd piece of abuse. |

| Found my way to the room of a chick in Samui. She locked the door, then another BUTCH chick came out of the toilet and demanded a spit roast, with me being the pig. I mumbled some crap about needing a shower first, went to the bathroom and bailed out over the glass encrusted window sill, losing a bit of blood in the process. Got chased by a screaming freak down the street, laughing my arse off. All the way to The Club. Lucky that my drunken brain found an out, otherwise i'd have had to fight. She looked like a boxer, all scars and bad breath. |

Way better to avoid a fight with a LB.
First, if you're one on one, alone with the LB, you might have a fighting chance, but remember these LB's likely studied Muai Thai at sometime prior to their transistion. Might have a chance, but they'll still likely kick your ass.
Second, if there are a group of LB's anywere in the vicinity, you will become a carcass at a pack kill. They WILL gang up on you, they WILL remove those stilettos and use them as deadly weapons, and you WILL be embarrassed to go to the police and admit to being asskicked by a group of LB's.
I once saw a guy running down a soi for his life being chased by a group of angry LB's, heels off and all.
Also, don't lose your cool with a thai (LB, man or woman), as you'll do nothing but lose face.
Auto.
ps. Fighing LB's in Pattaya is the ONE thing Chuck Norris IS afraid of.

as one russian man told story on the forum, he actually had a fight with LB on Walking street.
but he was attacked by LB without any reason.
suddenly he felt a strong hit into his head. he turned around and without thinking, kicked with all force to the enemy. only then he realised it was a LB. LB took off his belt and began beating the man. and man also fought with LB.
many people watched this scene, but nobody helped anyone.
then tourist police came, they sat in a pickup-truck and went to police station. and all thai people were applauding him.
i think maybe thai people are all stick together but dont like LBs.
IMHO, listening to talks in massage salons and inside indian shops, thai people were always speaking angrily about LBs. |

I brooke up with my ladyboy in phuket a long time ago, she didn`t like that and kicked me in the head. She was real good at thaiboxing and a big girl to (5.11). Since i don`t hit girls i wrestled her to the ground and "locked" her down for a while. She really knew how to kick and hit, but had nothing coming in power and grappling.
It`s another story if they gang up on you, i guess...

What the fuck? You see... it's precisely this kind of stupid ignorant rubbish that I rally against that gets me booted off forums!
So... Automorph... is it true that all English men wear bowler hats and all Scots wear kilts?
What a morphed world view! |

Well Stogie, why don't you go out and pick a number of fights with LB's and conduct a "personal" survey, assuming there is anything left of you to report back with.
I know many Thai LB's (as I'm sure you do), and in MY experience, many have indicated they have had more than a casual experience with Muay Thai. Your experience may be different. That does NOT invalidate my experience, nor my information.
Perhaps I should have changed the wording in my potentially generalizing statement from "LB's have studied Muay Thai" to "many LB"s may have studied Muay Thai." Feel better now or do I need to set up a truth statement table for you?
Since Muay Thai IS the national sport of Thailand, AND most young boys tend to play their national sport (at one time or another in their life) AND ALL LB's start their life out as young boys, there's a better chance than not, that they MAY have had some experience with Muay Thai. Why is that such a difficult concept to grasp?
BTW, what is so "stupid or ignorant" about not underestimating your potential opponent (if you're dumb enough to get into a fight in the first place)? Hospital wards are "full" of dumb asses who get into hot water by not thinking.
What is "Stupid or Ignorant" about making people aware of options they shouldf consider?
Now Stogie, go out find out who pissed in your cornflakes this morning, or take a good dose of fiber. Sounds like you need it, my friend.
Lastly, we typically don't boot people off THIS forum, simply for having a difference of opinion, we're a little more tolerant and enlightened.
Have the best day possible.
Auto
ps. Regarding your bowler hat and kilt issue, I think that history would suggest that at one time, many englishmen wore bowler hats, and certainly many Scots wore kilts (on a day to day basis).

I am with Auto on this one. Carried out some primary research (playful of course) and got my ass kicked by a LB from Pook Swan despite having taking a number of weekend warrior courses in Krav. I never bothered to conduct secondary research. Even if my sample size was small it was enough research for me.
Another LB in Phuket seemed very comfortable with the overhead kicks. |

BTW in case anyone is wondering how good a LB can become at Muai Thai check the following link
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401248/
Great movie, excellent fights and a shows the human angle.
Nearly on the same level as Ong Bak |

Hahah @ this thread.
I'm planning to book my first trip in a couple of weeks, I don't need to be reading about LBs kicking my ass over there haha. |

3 l/b's tried to roll me on soi 6 about 3am one evening. Two were rather meek and backed off when they realized I wasn't drunk, but the third was very aggressive.
It was a Mexican stand-off for about a minute or two before I broke her grip on my shirt and bolted down the soi.
You can usually defuse the situation with a little humor or respect shown their way, but this was a robbery attempt and I pretty much had my back against the wall. It was about as close to a brawl as I've come with a l/b. |
