I am sorry to have to tell you that my best friend in Thailand Sombat/Eric, passed away at 6 pm Thailand Time at Chonburi Hospital today. I will be helping his wife with the cremation ceremony and Embassy details. If anyone wishes to donate some money to help his wife with the costs they would be most welcome. Just use the Paypal button on my Stringfellows site.
More details, ie cremation date/time/place later.

Condolences to Eric's family and close friends.
Eric and I may have had some differences but I respect his contributions to the forums and to the overall promotion of the LB's in Pattaya. He was a perfectionist in his work/hobby and well known within the Pattaya scene.
His photos are an ongoing testimonial to his efforts.
He has been through a painful past 3 months and I hope that he may now rest in peace with more ease.
My thoughts and prayers are for him and his family. |

It was sad to hear of Eric's passing. Although it was expected and inevitable, it is never easy losing a friend.
I'm pleased to have been able to have dinner, drinks and share a laugh or two with him in June and it's that memory of him I will keep.
My best to his family. |

Sad news indeed, despite being aware of his circumstances for some time.
Have fond memories of the times we spent together, and will certainly retain these.
Thankyou for the notification Bob.
Cheers

It has been a painful 3-4 months for Eric. He knew he was in for the fight of his life, but a fight he could not win. When we last spoke in May he was busy trying to help me out with a personal family problem, while he was in hospital.
Eric and I had differences, but only on the forums and only in the trade. In person we were close and I found myself spending a lot of my time in his company while in Pattaya.
So long my friend, I hope your new life will contain less of the pain and frustrations you had to endure in this one. |

I will be seeing his wife later on this morning and will pass on your condolences. As you can imagine, 3 months in Hospital has virtually wiped out any funds that he had. So any help would be very welcome.

My condolences to Eric's close friends and family.
I had several very good chats with Eric earlier this year at Ezy and enjoyed his intelligent and caring attitude towards the girls. A genuine and caring man.
RIP Eric. |

Eric was a really nice person and a good friend, I shall miss not seeing him on my trips to Pattaya. I was lucky to have had a good chat with him when I was in town in May and shall carry fond memories of Eric with me.
Rest in Peace my Friend |
