I stayed at the Dynasty hotel recently due to the recommendations in this forum. It's in an excellent location, just a short walk from Nana Plaza, and is guest friendly.
At 1099 baht a night its really good value for money. The room was clean and the breakfast/bar area has a nice cosy feel to it. The only slight quibble I had was the noise from the air conditioning units, there was one right outside my window.
There were quite a few western men there who stayed with the same thai woman for the entire week. They had taste too, they were beauties. I only saw one guy bring back a ladyboy to his room. There was no problem but it got the girls on reception giggling.

| Yeah Dynasty is good enough plus they offer cheap/free transport to Pattaya. |

I brought a different LB back with me to the Dynasty every night, and never a hassle, infact the level of service there is excellent without being too stuffy like the more expensive hotels.
My advice would be to request a room in the new buiding. These rooms are fantastic, nice bathrooms, much better air conditioning, and overall more presentable.
Apparently the Dynasty Inn is completing construction of a new site a few hundred metres down Soi 4, and turn to your left. I was told the room rate will commence at 1800 baht. Will endeavour to find out more !
