I believe that dark skin is frown upon,. I live in area which is densely populated with folks, china, Taiwan & Korea and all of this ethnicity folks like light skin color. Dark is no good. I see quite afew women wearing long gloves which is covering entire arm, and they also have on sun visor which is long and they can move this visor up and down it covers face too and is made of tinted plastic so sun rays will not come in strong. Same same as LOS...  |

In the 40's and 50's, dark skin meant you were a manual laborer, working in the fields. The lighter skinned people were considered well off and educted. |

that is correct
people with dark skin in some asian countries are consider to be workers or for the poorer part of society.
