I was having a drink at Hot Tuna Bar on Walking street last month, when I saw this group of middle eastern guys being followed up the street by a group of Thai bar owners, one brandishing a large plank of wood.

Moments later one of the middle eastern guys received a punch in the head and he toppled backwards & hit the deck.

You would have to be foolish to enter into a dispute at a Thai owned & managed bar regardless of what actually transpired.

all the bars that i have been in los, i have never had any problems, get drunk mind your manners, pay for you drink and the thais are great people.
the thai bar owners obviously need customers to pay their bar bills, and for people who want to try and cheat the owners of their bars in their own country imho deserve all they get.

That said, although the Thai who threw the punch immediately backed off....it was not nice to see him knocked about while in no state to offer a defence.
As xyzzy says, the Thais fight like that.

That guy was being rude and disrespectful its sad but tourists like this need a slap, you have to be respectful when youre in Thailand or any other foriegn country, I dont understand people who try and not pay bills in bars what do they think is going to happen to them? Angry3

where i come from, if you wave both arms in the air and shout "who wants it?" then you are calling out people for a fight.
hence, he got the fight.

If i had witnessed that I would have only been upset because I would probably have been too slow to give the stupid twat a kicking myself before he was taken out.

sitting one night with friends in blue sky bar, corner of soi BJ.
when a pissed up farang came in dressed as spiderman.
he was abusing the staff, snd pushed one of the bar girls, she pushed him back and he landed smack on and fell through my glass table.
my mate grabbed his collar, threw him into the street, where a thai guy came from nowhere and gave him a few kicks.
some of these arseholes need a kicking , fuck em.
what was funny though, was the bar girls shouting afterwards
"spiderman is good man, but this spiderman no good.".
